We Are Purposeful/Global Resilience Fund: Activist Portraits

These portraits are 2 from a series I created for We Are Purposeful's Disability Justice Report. They features Anisie and Nur, two activists whose interviews and writings are included in part of the report called 'Our Resistance', which can be found here

The portraits include border details inspired by each activists home country/city and their interests.

Anisie is a youth and Disability Rights activist from Rwanda. She holds a bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation. She is a youth activist who advocates for empowerment, inclusivity, and better access to services for persons with disabilities.

Nur Matta is a feminist Mexican Disability Rights activist and artist that, through her art, seeks to position the perspectives of people with disabilities in a society that considers itself as “inclusive.” She is part of the National Feminist Disability Network in Mexico (Red Femidisca), has received awards for her work.
